May 2013 "Fly-By" News

GUILD ANNOUNCEMENTS

Upcoming Guild Programs:

  • May – No program
  • June – Undecided
  • July - Jo Ann Neary will be giving a wheel sampling program – volunteers will need to plan to make their wheels available for participants to test drive the entire day. Wheel maintenance will be covered as well.
  • Aug. – Undecided
  • Sept. – Sock Challenge
  • Oct. – Stash Bust
  • Nov. – Preparing and processing a fleece
  • Dec. – gift exchange

Membership cards will be handed out at the May meeting.

The Smoky Mountains Antique Engine and Tractor Show would like spinners interested in demonstrating and selling at the show. There is no charge. The show is June 21 and 22 at 140 Maverick Circle, Clinton. If interested, please see the full guild newsletter for the contact person's information.

From Deb Smith:

I am looking for volunteers to help demonstrate at the Jefferson County Fair August 15th - 24th. 5pm - 8:30 pm. We have the first few nights covered.

Nancy Sheddon reminded us at the April Guild meeting that Guild members can get a card from Joann's Fabrics for 10% OFF purchases.
