- Deb Smith is still looking for volunteers to help demonstrate at the Jefferson County Fair August 15th - 24th. 5pm - 8:30 pm. We have the first few nights covered.
- We will be voting on adopting the change to our By-Laws to include a dissolution statement and do away with the Constitution. Deb will have a copy at the beginning of the meeting for anyone to look at if they choose.
- Iron Spinner Challenge: As the program for the August meeting, we will hold an Iron Spinner Challenge. Each person who would like to participate will pay $2 and will receive an ounce of dyed fiber to be spun during the meeting in any way the spinner chooses. At the end of the meeting, we will compare and contrast our yarns. Feel free to bring your own hand cards, niddy noddies, or any other equipment you may want to use for the challenge. At the July meeting, we will vote on which dyed fiber we will spin. If you'd like to participate, please give your $2 to Erin Kramer (our Treasurer) at the June or July meetings. If at all possible, please don't wait until August to join so we can ensure enough supplies for everyone who wants to participate. If you have any questions, contact Erin.

- July - Jo Ann Neary will be giving a wheel sampling program – volunteers will need to plan to make their wheels available for participants to test drive the entire day. Wheel maintenance will be covered as well.

For the mystery readers in our group here is a review from Booklist of an historical mystery by Eleanor Kuhns about a weaver (to be published in June): "Death of a Dyer is "the sequel to A Simple Murder which won the 2011 Minotaur Books/Mystery Writers of America Best First Crime Novel competition, picks up the story of Will Rees, an itinerant weaver who fought for the Continental Army 20 years earlier. Kuhns creates a marvelously chilly atmosphere throughout this suspense tale about seemingly upright people guarding evil secrets. Rees, the weaver, is a wonderful creation."
