- November: Program -- Preparing and processing a fleece. Jenny Bennett will be guiding the how-to on alpaca fleeces and Barb Keyes will do sheep fleeces.
- December: No program this month due to the Church craft fair. However we will have a short meeting, bring finger food to share. The Guild will not have a booth at the Craft Fair this year. However, individuals may do their own booth if they so choose.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: We will likely be meeting in a different room in December due to the craft fair so please check your email or the Guild's Ravelry and Facebook pages for more information closer to the meeting. (The TVH Twitter feed and Google + page will also be automatically updated with any website posts as well.)
- January: Roc Day Meeting -- Bring finger food to share. There will be a gift exchange.
Smoky Mountain Fiber Arts Festival:
The Guild has agreed to be a sponsor of the Townsend Artisan Guild and the Smoky Mountain Fiber Arts Festival. Additional volunteers are needed for the committee. Please contact Lynn Hash if interested.
Ply Magazine Subscription:
The Guild voted to subscribe to Ply Magazine. This should be available from the Guild Library in the near future. The magazine is issued quarterly. Contact Mary Devol if you would like to check out this magazine.

Rivers Edge Fiber Art will be offering a class on Spinning Art Yarns to be held at the Chocolate Bar in Townsend on Wednesday, Oct. 30th from 10 until around noon. The Chocolate Bar offers a variety of coffees, sweets, quiche, muffins and smoothies. The details of the event should be on the Rivers Edge Fiber Art web site and you may pay for the class through your PayPal account.
Carol Larsen will be at SAFF and travels to Townsend to stay for a week in between shows and has offered this short introduction. Details should be posted on her web site soon.
The Chocolate Bar in Townsend is located in the same building as the Subway sandwich shop and has a handicap ramp on the porch at the sandwich shop entrance. Call Deborah Adams for details (her number is listed in the full October newsletter.)From Amanda Gibson:
I wanted to make everyone aware there is an organized bus traveling from Knoxville to Maryland Sheep and Wool in May, 2014. There is the possibility of stopping in the Tri-Cities if there is a passenger from that area.
There is a East TN MD Sheep and Wool Ravelry group and a Facebook page for more information and for registration forms. It will be $300 for early registrants (before 12/1) and $350 thereafter until 3/1/14, bus and hotel accommodations included!
